So for all of you that have been visiting my site, you may have noticed that there haven’t been as many updates to the sites as usual, especially the links section. This is because I set up a new blog called The Webpreneur. The blog focuses on all things web and business. I try to make a posting at least once a day, but this has proven to be a difficult task. The good news is that it is a significant increase in my total blogging volume. Let’s have a party and celebrate! I will continue to update this blog, but check out my other one on a regular basis. Thanks!

So recently I have been all over the place, coming up with new ideas, starting some, others not, rarely ever finishing anything. Well, another thing that probably won’t be finished anytime soon is the new website that I’ve discussed in the past couple blogs. Instead I will be investing in an existing business that my boss started a few years ago. You can view the website here. The name of the site is WoodenModelShips.com. I will be an equal owner with the other 2 members, and we are going to turn it into the premier site for purchasing wooden model ships online. I know that it’s kind of random, but it should be fun.

Additional things that I’ve been up to:

  • Taking video production classes at Arlington Independent Media
  • Working at RSI
  • I will begin taking classes at the Corcoran
  • Making plans to create a new website called TheWebpreneur.com where I will document various lessons learned from creating new internet businesses
  • Working out at WSC

In regards to the website for peace, I don’t have the time to currently work on it. The interesting thing about that is I know that I probably would if it had a monetary reward in the near future. Since there isn’t a high probability of making any money anytime soon though, I will have to postpone it. Maybe that’s why peace movements have so much difficulty in this country. People want peace around the world, but just don’t have time to do anything about it. If you know of any event I can participate in to contribute to world peace, please feel free to contact me and I will come join you.

If you couldn’t tell by my recent entries in my blog, I have spent the past week watching a bunch of documentaries, and reading books on scandal and war. This, in conjunction with reading the daily news has given me somewhat of a pessimistic view of the current state of humanity. As I mentioned in my previous blog entry, Why We Fight I mentioned that I might create a new website.

Well, I am creating a new website. I have spent the past few days beginning the code on the site and I am now approximately 25% complete. I am aiming to be 95% complete with all of the backend code by next week. Why am I making this website? Well, I am confident that there are currently thousands of individuals that hold the same views as I do on the current state of the world. These individuals need a single resource where they can express themself to each other, and find a way to join together to make change. Without giving away too many details, I am going to be creating a non-profit organization that is going to maintain the website. The profits generated from advertising on the site will be donated to other peace organizations and other organizations that the users on the site determine fit for grants. There is more to the website but I would like to keep it under wraps for now. I will keep you informed as things progress.

I just watched the most amazing documentary ever. It is called “Why We Fight” and it was produced by the BBC. There is rapid change happening currently in the world and something must be done soon before it is too late. Currently there is war happening all over the Earth, but primarily in the Middle East. If we wait too long these wars will spread and we will end up in a war far bigger than has ever been seen before. I do not want to see that war in my lifetime and do not hope that my children have to see it.

We need to spread peace, and the idea that war is not the way to solve any conflicts. I have considered developing a website for the purpose of this. I have not come to any conclusions but I will be sure to keep this blog up to date with any ideas or revelations.

As a side note to this, I have realized one of the primary reasons for why the U.S. is in such strong support of Israel. That is because Israel is one of the largest if not the largest consumer of american made war goods. War in the middle east is good for business and this needs to stop now. Anyways, I will post more as ideas come to my head. Feel free to contribute any ideas that you have.
